Doug Hissong
Personal Profile
Doug Hissong grew up in Ohio, and obtained his under-graduate and graduate education in engineering at the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University.
He has worked in research and engineering companies in Ohio, New Jersey, Louisiana, and Texas.
He now lives in Houston. He is married and has three sons (of whom he is very proud). His leisure interests include water skiing and snow skiing.
His experience has shown him how important interpersonal and communication skills are to effective job performance ( as well as effectiveness in non-work endeavors).
He feels so strongly about it that he has collected his thoughts and a myriad of stories supporting them into a book titled Positive Impacts, (subtitle "Discovering the keys to better interpersonal and communication skills"). He calls it "food for thought that tastes good, like a healthful dessert."
