HR-INFO has to be one of the oldest hr sites on the internet. From its original inception to its current state there have been 14 years. HR-INFO itself has been uninterrupted online and operating as a business since 1998.

HR-INFO started in 1994 by its founder Mr Anastasios Tsapilis. That was the time that the internet arrived in Australia and Mr Tsapilis as an early technology adopter realised immediately the potential of that new medium.

At the time Mr Tsapilis was studying for his Diploma in Human Resources and was working as the HR Manager of a major manufacturer in Australia. As time was short he developed the first web site on a sub domain of his local ISP. The name of the site was Human Resources Center of Australia.

The purpose of the site was to help hr professionals to navigate the internet and find information relevant to the profession in an easy and quick way. This was important because if you are old enough then you will remember the dreadful slow modem speeds of the time.

The site grew very quickly and by 1997 it was receiving too much traffic for the ISP to handle. At the same time the number of inquiries from people requesting services and/or assistance increased as well.

This resulted in the decision to transfer the site to its own domain while at the same time maintaining its original community spirit. Unfortunately by that time the business name was registered by a third party and therefore an alternative name was required. In 1998 the business HR-INFO was created and registered in Australia together with our domain name.

The creation of the business was an important step in the evolution of HR-INFO. It allowed for income streams to be created to support the people behind the business as well as ensuring that the site could continue to remain a free for all service as per its founder wishes.

The resilience of the business and its founder to ensure the continues provision of this free service to the hr profession has been proven over and over again.

Currently HR-INFO has shifted its business model to focus in advertising, consulting services and psychometric profiling services. The fact is that hr-info.com receives over 2 million unique hits a year and we thank all our visitors for coming to visit us and we encourage everyone to join us and become a member. It is FREE after all :-) so you got nothing to loose.
